The Molokai Arts Center hosted “An Introduction To Mosaics”, a two-day workshop with visiting Northern California mosaic artist Jane Kelly on May 9 and 10. Jane’s workshop introduced the students to the art of mosaics. In addition to creating an original piece, the workshop included demonstrations and talks on design approaches, range of materials, and the use of tools to create mosaic artworks. The participants had a great time and all went home with a mosaic to be proud of. We are all hoping Jane will return next year!
